Epilepsy is not a rare condition, and can affect almost anyone. If you or a loved one is living with epilepsy or a seizure disorder, you are not alone.  Epilepsy and seizure disorders affect nearly 2.5 million people in the United States. Epilepsy is as prevalent as Type I diabetes, and more common than Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis combined.  Fortunately, advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy are enabling individuals to lead healthy, active lives.

Bayfront Medical Center is committed to providing the highest level of care to individuals living with Epilepsy and seizure disorders. Bayfront’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is a Level IV epilepsy center. The program is led by nationally-recognized, Erasmo A. Passaro, M.D., and offers state-of-the-art evaluation, diagnostics, medical intervention, surgical treatment, and on-going support. Bayfront’s premier program is the only one of its kind in Pinellas County, and one of only five, Level IV regional referral centers in Florida.
